Tim

Over the last two years as founder and Creative Director of Queer Storytelling Festival, Tim Redfern has produced a broad body of critically acclaimed work which provides and promotes creative platforms for new, existing and never-before-performed queer and outsider writers and artists to celebrate their queer experiences.  The work focuses on addressing issues of isolation and marginality in community and how creative support and platform can emancipate and demonstrate a need for shared experiences which in turn demonstrate and educates the importance of celebrating the ‘outsider’ in us all with audiences from all backgrounds.  Works and collaborations have included a national QSF tour of England and Wales (funded by ACE), and national tour of Scotland in conjunction with Our Story Scotland (funded by the Scottish Arts Council), successful seasons of events at The Drill Hall in London, The Marlborough Theatre in Brighton as well as educational collaborations, talks, lectures and events at Central School of Speech and Drama in London and Claremont College in California, USA.  Tim has worked cratively with Homotopias Festival in Liverpool and Glasgay! Queer Arts festival in Glasgow. He has worked as a consultant for arts and social inclusion schemes with Arts institutions for the National Theatre and South Bank Employers Group.  He has helped to produce two London shows, Full Frontal Diva at the Finborough Theatre and Blowing Whistles at The Warehouse, Croydon and Sound Theatre, London
